About

A spacious living area for two, cosy log-burning fire, doors opening directly onto a private garden and beautiful walks from the doorstep – The Old Barn is a comfortable retreat in one of the most idyllic locations in the New Forest.

Situated in a small, peaceful 19th century village, with many former estate workers’ cottages of great charm and character, this large one-bedroom converted barn is a place to unwind, and from which to enjoy the great outdoors. There are plenty of lovely walks right on the doorstep and the beach is nearby.

The Old Barn stands in the grounds of the owners' home (although it has a private entrance and separate enclosed garden) which was originally the estate blacksmith's and latterly the village garage - look for the beautiful old petrol pumps in the centre of the village!

The large, airy, well-equipped, kitchen-diner  seats 4 and opens into a sizeable sitting  room which has 2 comfortable, squishy sofas to curl up on, a log-burner to keep it warm in winter, and doors to throw open to the garden in summer. Outdoor seating makes the garden a comfortable place to relax during the warmer months. A downstairs cloakroom off the entrance hall has space for muddy boots and coats.

For cosy nights in, the movie library, shelves of books  and  selection of boardgames will keep you entertained. The SmartTV allows you to login to all your own streaming services.

Stairs from the sitting room lead up into the bedroom which has a super-comfortable kingsize bed. The en-suite bathroom has a bath for wallowing  and a separate walk-in shower.
